In order to increase the rate of survival rate, if certain tests are performed regularly, then a person can be saved from the cancer. The tests include the Breast Self-Examination, the Clinical Breast Examination, the Mammography and Thermography. These tests are performed as per the requirement of age and risk of breast cancer in a particular person. It is a fact that if breast cancer is detected at a very early stage, then the person can be free from it after five years of treatment. It is a fact that a woman who gets pregnant for the first time at the age of 30 or if she has no child at all, she tends to have a greater chance of breast cancer. Some people think that all the tumors are breast cancers but this is not true as some are benign and harmless that form due to hormonal changes and disappear with time.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Facts
The Breast Cancer Awareness Day is observed in October every year. The Survivor Symbol for breast cancer is pink in color that the survivors, their family and friends wear in the form of ribbons and shirts. The seminars are held on this day to create awareness on Breast Caner among women. The experts are invited to speak and explain about the details of Breast Cancer and how to cope with it.
Risks For Breast Cancer
The major risks for breast cancer include: Family history, if you have a family history of breast cancer in your mother, daughter or sister then the chances of breast cancer increases and needs special attention in you at a certain age. Hormone Replacement Therapy is also one of the causes of Breast Cancer if prolonged for more than 10 years.
