If a person gets stuck in any such condition in which he doesn’t get food but has sufficient water to drink, he would survive. On the other hand, if he has food but has no water to drink, he won’t survive after few days without water. The quality of water is also of major concern. If the water supplied to you is not properly treated with water cleaning substances. If you don’t boil or filter your drinking water, then you are at high risk of some harmful diseases like diarrhea, hepatitis and others. Always drink clean, filtered and boiled water and keep yourself healthy throughout.
The drinking water is the most frequently used liquid by humans and other living things. An average person must drink plenty of water per day as it cleans our body and meet the needs of our body as major part of our body is composed of water. Most of our body systems require continuous supply of water like respiration, urination and perspiration. The drinking water has to be very clean and filtered. But there are some elements the presence of which in very small amount in water is beneficial too. These are sodium, potassium and chloride that play a role in metabolism. Everything needs water even to absorb nutrients and vitamin.
Every person has his needs for water but an average person should drink 8-12 glasses of water. It is, however, said that too much of water intake can be harmful too as it can cause water intoxications. If a person does not drink plenty of water, he can suffer from dehydration in which blood gets dense and the body has to do more work in order to circulate blood. Due to this, working of brain slows down, you feel uncomfortable to concentrate and feel fatigue.
The benefits of drinking water are so many when it comes to human body, it lubricates organs and joints and it keeps skin soft. It also regulates our body temperature and it also filters impurities. The water is also important for the proper working of the brain. We need to drink plenty of water in order to keep our kidneys in proper condition so that it can work well. Water improves energy level so that you can work well. It also helps in digestion and helps to lose weight. It also reduces headache and dizziness. It improves mental and physical performance too. No water, no life but if there is water and is not cleaned then there is life but with diseases.
There are special units for drinking water supply that treat water in order to make it useful to drink. There are fixed standards and the supply of drinking water is monitored to check if the quality of water is good or bad. There are laboratories where sample of water can be sent in order to get it checked whether it is drinkable or not.
